3MT競賽旨在鼓勵研究生深入淺出地分享其學術發現與成果，自2008年於澳洲昆士蘭大學發起後，已有超過五十個國家、350所大學獲得授權舉辦。

NTU vs. NTNU vs. NTUST!
Established by the University of Queensland in 2008, the 3MT competition challenges higher-degree students to present their research in plain English in just three minutes. The 3MT competition is held in over 350 universities, spanning more than 50 countries around the globe. As the first authorized institution in Taiwan to present this English-language research communication event, National Taiwan University now invites you to showcase your research in the year of 2017!

活動期間已完成註冊之臺大、臺師大及臺科大研究生，且正進行原創性研究或已有研究相關論文發表者。
All currently-enrolled NTU, NTNU, and NTUST graduate students who are conducting original research or have publications that can contribute to their future theses/dissertations can participate in the 3MT Competition.

【成果報導 News】

2017三分鐘英語學術簡報競賽 (3MT) 已於 5 月 25 日圓滿結束。首獎由臺灣大學地理環境資源所胡德倫同學獲得，貳獎、參獎及觀眾票選獎得獎人分別為：臺灣大學森林環境暨資源所林家民同學、臺灣師範大學科技應用與人力資源發展所嚴萬軒同學、臺灣大學環境工程所韓孟潔同學。

今年 3MT 競賽由寫作教學中心主辦，教務處、文學院、國立臺灣大學系統協辦，並在郭鴻基教務長的啟發及大力支持下，共邀臺師大、臺科大學生參與競賽。歷經三校說明會、賽前講堂等長達二個月的努力推動，初賽人數創下歷年新高，且具備領域、國籍之豐富性，致使競爭十分激烈。12 位同學自 147 位初賽者脫穎而出，晉級決賽。

決賽當日，現場雖有幾近 500 雙眼睛的強大聚焦，12 位入圍菁英依然台風穩健，各人表現也獨特優異，令眾人留下深刻印象。每位評審、貴賓皆給予參賽者及本次競賽高度評價。

公共電視台行腳節目主持人阮安祖說 ”I’m especially impressed by the energetic spirits of the students.”；TED x Taipei 團隊策展人駱意欣在給予評語時指出：「這是個非常好的溝通學習機會」；擔任總評的世新大學英語系終身榮譽教授李振清及前美國在臺協會處長司徒文皆表示「相當感動，因為我看見年輕人勇於表達的野心！」

非常感謝臺灣大學、臺灣師範大學、臺灣科技大學全體參賽者及給予我們協助的師長、同仁，以及評審、貴賓、參賽者親友與擠爆現場的觀眾們。謝謝您們與我們熱情歡呼吶喊，一起見證了三校菁英的精彩對決，共同創造了歷史及美好的回憶。
