Make Each Individual Count (MEIC)
MEIC is an extracurricular learning and consulting opportunity for students who take AWEC courses but need extra help. In MEIC, AWEC instructors give two one-hour online consultations each week. Every Tuesday, the session focuses on Q & A discussions. Every Thursday, there is a 15-min theme-based lecture and a 45-min consultation. Theme-based lectures center around common writing errors committed by students and introduce writing resources such as the use of online writing software and COCA (Corpus of Contemporary American English), self-editing skills, and self-learning resources, all of which aim to help students via multiple channels.
